• Westminster Presbyterian Church: Open Doors Open Futures

Open Doors Open Futures is Westminster's multi-pronged campaign to expand its historic building on Nicollet Mall with an inspiring new wing, to develop significant new green space surrounding the church, and to increase support for local and global needs.

The new wing will improve access and add flexible spaces for worship, youth, and congregational and community gatherings. In addition, 25% of the building is reserved for an on-site, direct service community partner. The building will demonstrate environmental leadership with ecological, responsible design.

The welcoming green space and two plazas surrounding the church and new wing will provide inspiring places for connection and respite for city residents, workers and visitors at the nexus point at the southern end of Nicollet Mall.

    Recent updates:
The Board of the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization (MWMO) recently awarded Westminster $600,000 to fund a demonstration project for rainwater re-use. The system will provide Westminster the means to capture and store rainwater on the site and then re-use it to irrigate all green plantings and trees. It also will provide water to flush toilets in the new wing and fill the new fountain/pool in which the historic Nicollet Mall Granlund sculpture will be exhibited.
